Just Do It!
I've been blog-lame again, but mostly because I've been overwhelmed this last week with real life stuff.
So, I sat down this morning with the intention of replacing my anniversary post with something more interesting, and my PC is making a noise.
It sounds like a very loud (and slightly sick) motor boat trolling for a good fishing spot.
Crap, thought I. I haven't backed up in SO long. Our business files are on this computer (those would be the worst thing to lose), along with much of my writing. I whipped out a CD, opened the RecordNow software, and went to work. I still have more to go, but hopefully soon, I'll have a good backup.
RUN, don't walk, to grab a CD, diskette, whatever, and back up your system! Especially your stories!

Hope you get it all worked out girl.
Plans? Tonight is my local chapter meeting but it's supposed to be ugly weather so I may be forced to stay home and watch the elimination round of Dancing with the Stars (which should be interesting!).

Aura, the noise has stopped, so I think we're okay for now. But just in case, I have a fresh backup. :)
Lucy, is Billy Ray still in it? I really liked the Olympic speed skater too (can't recall his name).

No, Billy Ray was voted out last week. Apolo (olympic speed skater) is still in it and deserves to win it!!! LOL

Er...Tuesday? Oops. I guess I'm a little late. I hope your pc sounds better by now.
Mine occasionally chirps like a chorus of pet canaries inside the box.
Who knows? Maybe that's how this thing really works. Hmm... Maybe it will download faster if I slip a few sunflower seeds into the cd rom. :)

The computer in my office started doing weird noises last week. I figured the hard disk was about to die... and it did. Good thing I didn't have anything worth saving in it. After my first experience back in 1995, I learned to NEVER ever keep anything on my hard disk.
