Weekend Break

A break from frustrating brainteasers, so that Mel will continue to visit my blog. :)

A departure from the pondering and poetry that put my fellow AGs to sleep last Tuesday.

A fun and easy quiz that will tell us...

You Should Be A Poet

You craft words well, in creative and unexpected ways.

And you have a great talent for evoking beautiful imagery...

Or describing the most intense heartbreak ever.

You're already naturally a poet, even if you've never written a poem.

I WISH I had great talent for evoking beautiful imagery. Although I love poetry, I've never imagined I could write any. I'm pretty sure I'll never try.

Have any of you written poetry?

Nope, I'm not a poet, by any means. But I definitely see YOU as one, Ellen!

    This is what I got:

You Should Be a Film Writer

You don't just create compelling stories, you see them as clearly as a movie in your mind.
You have a knack for details and dialogue. You can really make a character come to life.
Chances are, you enjoy creating all types of stories. The joy is in the storytelling.
And nothing would please you more than millions of people seeing your story on the big screen!

So, Maria and Jan, after the two of you accept your oscars for best screenplay, will you introduce me to all the big stars? :)

*sigh* trying to type with kitty climbing on keyboard. Tossing him off means playing to him--it's a challenge to return to the scene of the crime.

***You Should Be a Joke Writer***

You're totally hilarious, and you can find the humor in any situation.
Whether you're spouting off zingers, comebacks, or jokes about life...
You usually can keep a crowd laughing, and you have plenty of material.
You have the makings of a great comedian - or comedic writer.

LOL. I can totally see you as a joke writer, Mel! :)

oh you are definitely a dreamer and a poet, El. Thanks for the link to this neat blogthingee

I posted mine on my own blog. I'm a film writer. Doesn't surprise me, always seem to write bigger than I should for my books. I'm far too verbose, and my dialogue tends to take over.

However, whether its a Rita or an Oscar, I don't care. Having written the book is all that matters to me. Ok, ok, yeah it would definitely be cool to see it on the big screen! LOL

No matter how I answer, I end up with:

***You Should Be a Science Fiction Writer***

Your ideas are very strange, and people often wonder what planet you're from.
And while you may have some problems being "normal," you'll have no problems writing sci-fi.
Whether it's epic films, important novels, or vivid comics...
Your own little universe could leave an important mark on the world!

Don't sell yourself short, Ellen. You do imagery well. Want me to drive down and bite you?

No, K! Don't bite me! LOL.

I'm not at all surprised you're a sci-fi writer, what with your love of Firefly and shows like that. Between all of us, looks like we have the industry covered.

Monica, I can see you writing in any genre, for some reason--love your regencies. :)
