Ever had one of those days?
Despite the vaccination, kid #2 now has chicken pox and can't go to the birthday party he's been excited about all week. Poor guy. And our Mother's Day brunch (that already might not include the MIL) is in jeopardy, as well.
What do you do to turn your frown upside down? How do you cheer yourselves up? (And please--no "it could be worse, you could be dead" comments. LOL).

I'm sorry things aren't looking good. What is jeopardizing the Mother's Day Brunch? And why would it be minus the MIL?

Well, boy shouldn't go out in public with the chicken pox. So, we talked about it and dh will probably stay home with him in the A.M. We're supposed to meet MIL and dh's brother and his wife for brunch--3 moms in the bunch.
Problem is, MIL is being difficult (blogged about that on the online board). "I'll just stay home alone. YOU all go and have fun without me. I don't need anyone to notice ME on Mother's Day. After all, I'm OLD." Blah, blah, blah. Love the woman, but we might need to throw a net around her and drag her to the restaurant. LOL.

I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day, E, whatever comes of it. Something Mr. Honey and I have learned is that you have to celebrate the special days when you're available and together, which might not be on the date everyone else in the world celebrates it. Trust us, there's no law against rescheduling. ;)
I hope the chicken pox aren't as bad to #2 as they were to #1.

Jan--tequila shots? Yep. That would do it for me! LOL. (haven't had any in a long time, and I'm pretty sure we have some Cuervo hidden away somewhere).
Well...poor boy is worse--up all night (which meant I was too). Anyhoo, I think I'm going to send dh to brunch with his mom (leaving her no damn choice) and our daughter. Then I'm going to sleep if I can somehow knock boy out too. LOL.
